The thesis contains a summary of the route taken by the rescued prisoners of war from the Stalag XVIII-D labor camp. It is the largest escape of war prisoners in the Second World War in Europe. It contains summaries of both escapes and then the course of the route that led them across Slovenia all the way to Semič, from where the allies flew them to the military base in Bari, and from there their journey continued to their native countries. The work focuses on the main actors who were responsible for the escape or who shared their experience with the world during or after it. The task also presents the other side of the Crow's flight, which has now become the name of the trail - it is described and marked so that hikers and runners can get to know it and also the legacy of the Crow's flight is preserved by various agents. By working in the field, I also added to the task their views and the testimonies of those who have already faced the challenge of overcoming the path in its entirety. Research in the field also added to this work photos and descriptions of landmarks that can be found along the way. I asked myself if the path of the Crow's flight could represent the connection of a certain locally defined event with the legacy of the Second World War. Part of my diploma work is an accompanying mobile application that helps to find and understand the meaning of the path.
