Abstract

Title:The impact of ICT use on the work of public employees in the process of exercising the right to public funds
Abstract:
The diploma thesis focuses on the impact of Information and Communication Technology use on the work of public employees in the process of exercising the right to public funds. The rapid advancement of ICT has brought significant changes in various sectors, including public administration. In today's digital world, ICT is a crucial tool for improving the efficiency and quality of public services. However, the adoption of ICT in public administration has also presented some challenges, such as the need to adapt to new technologies and processes. With the aim of obtaining additional information to achieve the purpose and objectives of the thesis, empirical research was conducted using a qualitative method of interviews. Interviews were conducted with five professionals from the Regional Centre for Social Work in Ljubljana. The interviews provided insights into the thoughts, perceptions, and experiences of professionals regarding the use of the Information System for Social Work Decision Support (ISCSD) in their work. The research findings showed that professionals recognize the importance of using the ISCSD system in carrying out their tasks. They highlighted that the system facilitates access to data, enhances efficiency in processing applications, and enables better tracking of procedures. Based on the research findings, suggestions for possible improvements to the ISCSD system were provided, aiming to further facilitate the work of professionals.
