Abstract
The master's thesis deals with code-switching during English lessons in the first three grades of primary school. The theoretical part of the master's thesis consists of an introduction, methodology, and literature review on this topic. The practical chapters offer an insight into the language habits of the four observed English teachers during the observations of lessons. With the help of interviews, it presents the teachers' opinions about code-switching, the positive and negative features of code-switching in the classroom, and solutions that can be used to avoid it. Examples of code-switching done by teachers and students during lessons are presented with the help of the observation sheets. The goal of the master's thesis is to determine, with data from observations and interviews, when and why teachers code-switch, what the positive and negative consequences of code-switching in the classroom are, and how switching can be avoided as much as possible.

Title:Kodno preklapljanje med urami angleščine v prvih treh razredih osnovne šole
