Abstract
Diplomsko delo raziskuje stanje na področju konvergence umetne inteligence in 3D animacije. Na spletu se je v zadnjih letih pojavilo mnogo umetno inteligentnih orodij, ki lahko pomagajo tudi pri ustvarjanju 3D animacije. Izbrali smo pet orodij, ki pripomorejo pri različnih korakih postopka izdelave animacije. Orodje PIFuHD pomaga pri izdelavi človeških modelov, OpenAI Point e in ZoeDepth pri izdelavi poljubnih modelov, Blockade Labs Skybox AI pri izdelavi slik okolice in Dream Textures pri izdelavi tekstur. Uporabnost in kvaliteto orodij smo preizkusili z izdelavo animiranega videospota. V diplomskem delu smo predstavili vsa uporabljena orodja, njihovo delovanje in celoten potek izdelave videospota. Po končani izdelavi videospota pa smo ocenili uporabnost in primernost posameznih orodij za praktično uporabo. Pri tem smo upoštevali čas in napor, ki je bil potreben za pridobitev rezultatov z UI orodji, v primerjavi s klasičnim pristopom.

Title:Using artificial intelligence to produce 3D digital animations
Abstract:
This thesis explores the state of the convergence between artificial intelligence and 3D animation. In recent years, a lot of different Artificial intelligence tools have appeared online, and a lot of them can help with the creation of 3D animation. We have chosen five tools, that can help with different steps of the animation production process. The PIFuHD tool helps create human models, OpenAI Point E and ZoeDepth help with the creation of arbitrary models, Blockade Labs Skybox AI with the creation of environment pictures, and Dream Textures with the Creation of Arbitrary Textures. We have tested the usability and quality of the tools by making an animated music video. In this thesis, we present all the tools used, how they work, and the whole production process of the music video. After the completion of the whole music video, we evaluated the usability and suitability of individual tools for practical use. Here, we considered the time and effort required to obtain results with AI tools, compared to a classical approach.
