Abstract
V času prevlade agilnih metod razvoja programske opreme, kjer se poudarja hitro prilagajanje spremembam na trgu, so roki za testiranje programske opreme vedno krajši. Za ohranitev visoke kakovosti programske opreme in hkrati obvladovanje omejenega časa je avtomatizacija testiranja postala ključna. Avtomatizacija testiranja omogoča ne le zmanjšanje stroškov, am- pak tudi pospešeno izvajanje testov. Cilj te diplomske naloge je bil vpeljava avtomatiziranega testiranja na integracijskem nivoju v podjetju, specializi- ranem za razvoj merilnikov porabe električne energije. Z uporabo orodij smo automatizirali testiranje rešitve Symbiot, ki je namenjena merjenju po- rabe električne energije. Naloga ponuja vpogled v celoten proces testiranja, vključno z statičnim testiranjem, dinamičnim testiranjem in programiranjem testov. Predstavljena je tudi uporaba sistema za upravljanje testiranja, ki omogoča celovito vodenje testnih aktivnosti.

Title:Automating the integration testing of a system for metering electrical energy consumption
Abstract:
In the era of agile software development, which emphasizes rapid adapta- tion to market changes, software testing deadlines have become increasingly tight. To maintain high software quality while managing limited time, test automation has become essential. It not only reduces costs but also acceler- ates the testing process. The aim of this thesis was to introduce automated integration-level testing in a company specialized in developing electricity consumption meters. We automated the process of testing a solution de- signed for measuring electricity consumption. The thesis provides insight into the entire testing process, including analysis, planning, and test script development. Additionally, it presents the use of a test management system that enables comprehensive test management.
