In my thesis I research traumatic experiences of homeless people, more precisely the trauma informed care (TIC) concept and how it is understood and used by professionals who work with this population. First I define homelessness in general and describe the factors that influence the emergence of this phenomenon.
The research includes 5 qualitative interviews with professionals from organizations working with homeless people. I wonder how they understand the causes for homelessness, traumatic experiences, what they know about the trauma informed approach, how useful do they find it and where do they still see room for improvement in their work.
