Abstract
V tehničnem smislu je bil cilj diplomskega dela izdelati barve, primerne za delo v visokem tisku in preizkusiti njihovo učinkovitost. Izpeljati preprost postopek izdelave barv, ki bi omogočale kvalitetne odtise v tehnikah visokega tiska; linorez, kartonski tisk, kolažni tisk in stirografija ter v tehniki ploskega tiska; monotipija. Teoretični del vsebuje opis grafičnih tehnik in krajši zgodovinski pregled. Nadaljevala sem z opisom materialov (barva in papir), ki se uporabljajo v grafiki. Barvo opišem tudi z likovnoteoretičnega vidika. V nadaljevanju sem opredelila različne vrste pigmentov in pregled njihove rabe v zgodovini. V praktičnem delu sem predstavila in analizirala postopke izdelave barv in njihovo uporabo. Izdelane barve sem med seboj primerjala in iskala vzporednice ter razlike. Preizkušala sem različne tehnike nanašanja barve in ob tem analizirala kvaliteto odtisa. Vzporedno sem v likovnem izražanju raziskovala in razvijala svojevrstne rešitve v motivu krajine.

Title:From Pigment to My Own Printing Ink
Abstract:
In technical sense, the aim of the thesis is to produce inks that are suitable for work in the field of graphics, and to test their effectiveness. To implement a simple process for the production of inks that would enable high quality prints to be produced in the relief printing techniques - linocut, cardboard printing, collagraph and styrography; and in the planographic printing technique of monotyping. The theoretical part gives an overview of graphic techniques and their history. I go on to describe the properties of the inks and paper used in printmaking. I explain the artistic element colour and its properties. This is followed by a definition of the different types of pigments and an overview of their use throughout history. In the practical part, I developed and then presented and analysed the paint production processes and the way they are used. I compared the paints produced, looking for similarities and differences. I tested different paint application techniques and analyzed the quality of the print. At the same time, I explored unique solutions in the landscape motif in my artistic expression.
