Teachers often face many challenges in their pedagogical work
and also fears. I see growing cultural as a challenge for today's and future teaching
and the ethnic diversity that is present in our premises. Through the previous work on the basics
At school, I met many male and female students who differ from each other in terms of
on ethnic and cultural background. Based on my own experience and reviewed literature, I
started researching how to encourage and at the same time such differences in male and female students
adapt to our environment in a way that is not discriminatory or unfair in meaning
concealment of their culture. With this master's thesis, I wanted to investigate in more detail,
in what way the cultural and ethnic diversity of female and male students affects the modern
education. Because the ethnic and cultural picture in Slovenian schools is increasingly diverse and
diverse, I was interested in whether it presents a challenge to teachers or perhaps they experience it
also as a threat. In addition, I was also interested in how competent the teachers felt
and teachers to work with children from other cultural and ethnic backgrounds and how
they can improve their competence to work with such students. V
therefore, in the empirical work, I conducted a qualitative research in which a smaller
sample of teachers. I conducted the research using the interview technique, which I
carried out with the teachers of class lessons at schools where there are many students from other countries
cultural and ethnic backgrounds. I think the topic of the master's thesis is important and current,
as with the obtained results we can gain additional insight into past studies and
findings in this area and we strive to improve the situation with suggestions for improvements
and additional teacher training and better intercultural dialogue within schools and society.
