Abstract
Glavna naloga diplomskega dela je bila optimizacija sinteze piritionskih derivatov z vezano karboksilno skupino oziroma njenim metilnim estrom. Funkcionalna skupina je bila vezana na aromatski obroč bodisi na poziciji 3 ali na poziciji 4. Iz sintetiziranih piritionskih derivatov oziroma ligandov je nato sledila priprava rutenijevih koordinacijskih spojin. Pri eksperimentalnem delu je bilo sintetiziranih več ligandov, ki so bili nato očiščeni s kolonsko kromatografijo. Za sintezo rutenijevih koordinacijskih spojin sem uporabila le dovolj čiste produkte. Sintetizirani so bili trije čisti ligandi, ki so bili nato uporabljeni pri pripravi koordinacijskih spojin. Tako za ligande kot tudi za koordinacijske spojine sem po sintezi uporabila še nekaj analiznih metod, s katerimi sem želela potrditi čistost in predvideno strukturo spojin. Uporabljene analitske tehnike so bile tankoplastna kromatografija, jedrska magnetna resonanca, elementna analiza, masna spektrometrija, IR spektroskopija in UV-Vis spektroskopija.

Title:Optimization of the synthesis of pyrithione derivatives and their organoruthenium coordination compounds
Abstract:
The main part of my thesis was optimization of the synthesis of pyrithione derivatives with bound carboxyl group or its methyl ester. The functional group was bound to the aromatic ring either at position 3 or at position 4. The synthesised pyrithione derivatives or ligands were then used to prepare organoruthenium coordination compounds. In experimental part several ligands were synthesised, which were then purified by column chromatography. For the synthesis of ruthenium coordination compounds only sufficiently pure products were used. Three pure ligands were synthesised, which were then used to prepare the coordination compounds. After synthesis of ligands and coordination compounds analysis of the products was used. With various analytical methods purity and expected structure of compounds was confirmed. The used analytical methods were thin-layer chromatography, nuclear magnetic resonance, elemental analysis, mass spectrometry, IR spectroscopy and UV-Vis spectroscopy.
