Oblikovanje kolekcije Globalno opozorilo

V diplomskem delu z naslovom Unisex kolekcija oblačil Global Warning sem opisala proces oblikovanja avtorske kolekcije, katere navdih se je začel pri raziskovanju in opazovanju Alexander McQueenove svetovno znane kolekcije Plato's Atlantis. Glavno izhodišče za kolekcijo so bile različne teksture taljenja ledu, katero je posledica globalnega segrevanja. Likovni element, ki je nadgradil samo izhodišče, so futuristična zimska obuvala, ki bi jih ljudje potrebovali ob stiku z vodo in ledom. Teoretični del naloge je temeljil na predstavitvi številnih virov, iz katerih sem črpala navdih za nastanek kolekcije. V začetni fazi raziskovanja sem se osredotočala na grafične vizuelije McQueenove predstavitve kolekcije iz leta 2009, katere sem povezala z razpokami in teksturami, ki nastajajo ob taljenju ledu. To me je vodilo do tega, da sem se pri sami nalogi poglobila v tiste ključne dejavnike, zaradi katerih prihaja do podnebnih sprememb in se s tem približala človeku in njegovemu odnosu do globalnega segrevanja. Na osnovi tega sem nadaljevala razmišljanje o modi v daljni prihodnosti. V praktičnem delu sem predstavila proces avtorske kolekcije oblačil. Osrednji navdih za svoje silhuete sem poiskala v že obstoječih zimskih obuvalih različnih modnih oblikovalcev, ki bi nam služila v stiku z vodo ali ledom. Posamezne dele obuval sem grafično izrezovala, multiplicirala in manipulirala v kolaže, ki so predstavljali prve silhuete. Veliko sem se posvečala samim detajlom zapenjanja in funkcionalnosti obuval, ki sem jih premišljeno prenesla na oblačilne kose. V ospredju so tudi materiali, ki so v večini vodoodporni in umetni, saj se povezujejo z materiali, uporabljenimi za izdelavo zimskih obuval. Kolekcijo sem predstavila skozi kolaže, modne in tehnične skice ter jo tudi obeležila z barvno paleto in uporabo materialov. Končni rezultat naloge je futuristična in androgena modna kolekcija, namenjena vsem spolom, katerim unikatnost pri oblačilnih kosih pomeni veliko na vsakodnevni ravni. Kolekcijo sem predstavila v modnem editorialu.

Abstract

In my diploma thesis entitled Unisex clothing collection Global Warning, I have presented the process of creating an author's collection, the inspiration for which began when researching and observing Alexander McQueen's world-famous Plato's Atlantis collection. The key starting point for the collection were the different textures of melting ice, which is the result of global warming and people's attitude towards it. The artistic element was an addition to the inspiration is the futuristic winter footwear that needed for people in contact with water and ice. The theoretical section of the thesis presents the many sources of inspiration from which I drew the design approach necessary for the creation of the collection. In the initial research phase, I focused on the graphic visuals of McQueen's collection presened in 2009, which I immediately connected with the cracks and textures that are created during the process of ice melting. This led me to delve deeper into the key factors that lead to climate change and to thus get closer to man and his relationship to global warming as part of the thesis. What followed was a combination of all sources of inspiration, which culminated in researching the individual's appearance and attitude in the distant future. In the practical section, I presented the process of creating an author's clothing collection. For the central inspiration for my silhouettes, I looked into already existing winter footwear from various fashion designers, which would be needed in contact with water or ice. I graphically cut out, multiplied and manipulated the individual parts of the shoes into collages that represented the first forms of the clothing pieces. Attention was paid to the very details of fastening and the shoes' functionality, which were thoughtfully transferred to the clothing pieces. A key aspect are also materials that are mostly waterproof and artificial, as they are connected to the materials used to make winter footwear. The collection was presented through collages, fashion and technical sketches and marked with the color palette and use of materials. The final result of the thesis is a futuristic and androgynous fashion collection intended for all genders, for whom uniqueness in clothing means a lot on a daily basis. The collection was presented in a fashion editorial.
