Within the scope of this thesis, I will delve into the field of direct low-voltage DC user networks, specifically focusing on direct solar cell systems without battery usage.
My motivation for this topic is as follows. The world is slowly shifting towards deriving an increasing amount of energy from renewable sources. I believe that the additional knowledge I will acquire while researching the subject matter for my thesis will be beneficial for my future endeavors. Additionally, it will contribute to my better understanding of the solar cell power plant we installed at home a few months ago.
The energy provided by the Sun at any given moment is clean and free. I am intrigued by the feasibility of obtaining a satisfactory amount of energy through solar cell power plants. Could this be achievable? Could solar cells potentially offset our energy consumption if we no longer relied on energy derived from burning fossil fuels? Would it be possible for every household to have its own small solar cell power plant?
In this thesis, I focused on the description and functioning of direct solar cell systems without the use of batteries, on the advantages and disadvantages of such systems, and on the utilization of such systems for various purposes in today's world. I also examined various technologies, such as DC converters, which can also be added to such a system. I delved into a report conducted in the city of Duhok, addressing the operation of a direct solar cell system without battery usage for irrigating agricultural areas. In the conclusion, I presented potential challenges emerging in the future and additional possibilities for development in this field.
