The paper discusses the scope for making use of linguoculturology, cognitive linguistics and text linguistics in the field of literary imagology. The adoption of approaches that are characteristic of these linguistic disciplinesis outlined on the basis of Anton Aškerc's cycle of twelve poems The Rhapsody of the Bulgarian Fiddler (1902) devoted to the April Uprising of 1876.
