Abstract
V magistrski nalogi je predstavljena metoda ojačitve udarnih valov v brezmembranski udarni cevi, ki je bila razvita za dinamično umerjanje merilnikov tlaka. Z upoštevanjem dinamične teorije udarnih valov in Chester-Chisnell-Whithamove relacije, sta bili skonstruirani dve izvedbi nadgradnje udarne cevi za ojačitev udarnih valov. Predstavljen je postopek določitve transformacijske krivulje ob izbranih začetnih pogojih. Prva izvedba je sestavljena iz zožitve in podaljška s cevjo z ožjim notranjim prerezom, druga pa iz zožitve in konusne zožitve na minimalen premer. Obe izvedbi sta bili izdelani in vgrajeni v obstoječ sistem, ter eksperimentalno ovrednoteni.

Title:An upgrade of the shock tube standard for time-varying pressures with the converging element
Abstract:
The master's thesis presents a method for shock wave strengthening in a diaphragmless shock tube, which was developed for the dynamic calibration of pressure sensors. By considering the dynamic theory of shock waves based on Chester-Chisnell-Whitham relation, two designs for upgrading the shock tube to amplify shock waves were constructed. The process of designing the transformation curve under selected initial conditions is presented. The first design consists of a contraction and extension with a tube of narrower inner cross-section, while the second design consists of a contraction and a conical contraction to a minimal diameter. Both designs were manufactured and integrated into the existing system, and experimentally evaluated.
