Abstract
Od iranske revolucije, leta 1979, in ustanovitve Islamske republike Iran do danes odnosi med Iranom in ZDA nihajo.

Title:Foreign and security policy of US presidents towards Iran after the end of the cold war
Abstract:
Since the Iranian Revolution in 1979 and the establishment of the Islamic Republic of Iran, relations between Iran and the United States have fluctuated to this day. After the collapse of the Soviet Union and the end of the "Cold War", Iran posed one of the biggest threats to the United States due to its anti-Israel policy, the threat of "exporting" the Islamic revolution, its alleged efforts to develop nuclear weapons, and its support for some radical movements. The entire area of the Persian Gulf, next to which Iran lies, is even more strategically important for the United States, because large amounts of oil are located there. In the master's thesis, we analyzed and evaluated the foreign and security policies of the US presidents towards Iran after the end of the Cold War. The foreign and security policy is analyzed with the help of three indicators (defense, military, economic and political), which precisely define the policy of each administration towards Iran.
