Abstract

Title:Development of an electric motor drive for valves
Abstract:
The master's thesis describes the process of developing an electric motor drive device for valves, where it was necessary to combine two-point and three-point control variants on the same printed circuit board, using a stepper motor and optical position detection. The work first presents the elements of overvoltage protection (varistor and TVS-diode), which must be used to protect the device. Then the power supply systems and the stepper motor are described, which, in addition to the microprocessor, represent the most crucial part of the drive. The main focus of this thesis was on development of the electric motor drive, where it was initially necessary to draw the electrical circuit and select components based on existing solutions. After the printed circuit boards were drawn, the performance of the device was measured and evaluated.
