Knjižnica na gradu Brdo : diplomsko delo

Diplomsko delo predstavlja knjižnico, ki se nahaja na gradu Brdo in je bila v ta namen prvič v celoti popisana. Knjižnico sestavlja 4934 enot, ki so na grad prihajale v različnih časovnih obdobjih in prek različnih lastnikov. V nalogi je najprej predstavljena zgodovina knjižnic in branja ter njihova vloga v kontekstu kulturne dediščine. Nato so predstavljene posebnosti grajskih in osebnih knjižnih zbirk. Sledi predstavitev gradu Brdo, njegove zgodovine in same knjižnice. Natančneje je obravnavano slovensko leposlovje v knjižnici ter posamezne dragocenosti, kot sta Dalmatinova Biblija in Slava vojvodine Kranjske Janeza Vajkarda Valvasorja. Pri ukvarjanju s knjižnico in knjigami v njej je literatura pojmovana kontekstualno, saj je vpeta v mrežo odnosov, ki jo poleg avtorjev sestavljajo tudi distributerji, bralci in literarni zgodovinarji. Diplomski nalogi je priložen popis slovenskega leposlovja iz brdske grajske knjižnice.

Abstract

The thesis presents the library located at Brdo Castle, which was first fully inventoried for this purpose. The library consists of 4,934 items that came to the castle in different time periods and through different owners. The thesis first presents the history of libraries and reading and their role in the context of cultural heritage. Then the peculiarities of the castle and personal book collections are presented. This is followed by a presentation of Brdo Castle, its history and the library itself. Slovenian fiction in the library and individual valuables, such as translation of the Bible by Jurij Dalmatin and The Glory of the Duchy of Carniola by Janez Vajkard Valvasor, are discussed in more detail. When dealing with the library and the books in it, literature is conceptualized contextually, as it is embedded in a network of relationships that, in addition to authors, also consists of distributors, readers and literary historians. An inventory of Slovene fiction from the Brdo castle library is attached to the thesis.
