Abstract
V teoretičnem delu sem predstavila vsa tri življenjska obdobja, socialna omrežja, potrebe ljudi, medgeneracijsko solidarnost, medgeneracijsko solidarnost v družini v Sloveniji, sožitje in medgeneracijsko sožitje ter medgeneracijski center.

Title:Intergenerational solidarity in the municipality of Škofljica
Abstract:
In the Master’s thesis, I focused on researching intergenerational solidarity in the municipality of Škofljica. The subject of intergenerational solidarity is highly topical. In the theoretical part, I presented the three stages of life, social media, needs of people, intergenerational solidarity, intergenerational solidarity in the family in Slovenia, coexistence and intergenerational coexistence and the intergenerational centre. At the end of the theoretical part, I focused on intergenerational solidarity in the municipality of Škofljica, since I performed the research in the municipality. I purposely and handy chose 12 residents of the municipality of Škofljica, with whom I performed interviews. In the research, I wanted to find out what people need, what needs they have, what experience do people with an existing form of intergenerational solidarity in the municipality of Škofljica have, which needs they can already satisfy and which they can’t, although it would be necessary. The interview questions were related to how they maintain contact with people, if they find it important to connect with others, to who they can turn when they need help, if they provide help to other people, how often they have contact with people from another generation, with which generation they have the most contact, how they fill their spare time, how they connect with other generations in the municipality of Škofljica, which activities they attend in the municipality, which needs regarding intergenerational solidarity in the municipality they can and which they can’t satisfy and what they would like the intergenerational centre to offer. In the discussion, I compared the obtained data and found that people maintain contact with friends mostly with the use of social networks, with family and personally. The results showed that all the interviewees were on the same page and find social networks very important. Each individual described its social network with their own words. The results showed that the majority of the respondents rely on their informal social network. Some participants do not provide help to others for various reasons, while others provide it. Different generations intertwine in the family life, workplace, school etc. The results showed that all the participants in the research have hobbies and activities that full up their day. I found that the participants are familiar with more possibilities for connecting between generations in the municipality of Škofljica. Some of them participate in intergenerational connections or different activities, only three of them do not participate in activities. The results showed that some people can satisfy their needs in the municipality of Škofljica, and others can’t. The participants also provided a lot of different suggestion about the possible offer of the intergenerational centre in the municipality of Škofljica. Based on the obtained data, I suggested some possible ways to encourage intergenerational solidarity in the municipality of Škofljica.
