Abstract

Title:Comparison of manufacturing order scheduling methods
Abstract:
In the diploma thesis, we are dealing with the issue of order scheduling in manufacturing. Poor order scheduling in production can lead to significant unnecessary costs, low capacity utilization, bottlenecks at workstations, and delays in meeting agreed deadlines. Order scheduling can be approached using various methods, some more complex than others, and yielding different levels of effectiveness. For this reason, the thesis provides an overview of scheduling methods based on a literature review. Each of the methods will be tested on a case study of tooling orders, and the results will be used to form a table with recommendations on when to use each scheduling method. The obtained results will also be compared with the actual manual schedule in the tooling workshop.
