Abstract
Standardizirana metoda, ki bi se osredotočala na obrabno preizkušanje karbidnih trdin za odrezovalna orodja, ne obstaja. V tem delu predstavimo obstoječe metode obrabnega preizkušanja karbidnih trdin ter novo metodo na odprtem tribometru. Opisana sta priprava vzorcev ter meritve koeficienta trenja in obrabe. Izvedena je primerjava dveh različnih načinov merjenja obrabnega volumna. Pokažemo, da je metoda sposobna razlikovati med različnimi tipi karbidnih trdin na podlagi obrabe ter da bi bila primerna za uporabo v industriji za ocenjevanje primernosti materialov za izdelavo karbidnih orodij.

Title:
Measurement of Wear of Cemented Carbides on an Open Tribometer
Abstract:
Standardised method for wear testing of cemented carbides for cutting tools currently does not exist. In this work we present existing methods for wear testing of cemented carbides and a new method on an open tribometer. Sample preparation and measurements of coefficient of friction and wear are described. Comparison of two approaches to measuring wear volume is made. We show that the method is capable of discriminating between different grades of cemented carbides on the basis of wear and that it would be suitable for use in industry in the process of selection of materials for new cutting tools.
