Abstract
Diplomsko delo obravnava mit o Ahilu v sodobnem romanu Madeline Miller Ahilova pesem. Roman interpretiram na podlagi antične različice mita v Homerjevem epu Iliada. Zanimala sta me predvsem razvoj Ahilovega značaja in njegovo razmerje s Patroklom.

Title:Homoerotic relationship in Madeline Miller's novel The Song of Achilles
Abstract:
The diploma thesis deals with the myth of Achilles in the contemporary novel The Song of Achilles. It is analysed based on the ancient version of the myth in Homer's epic Iliad. I was particularly interested in the development of Achilles' character and his relationship with Patroclus. I also touched on Shakespeare's play Troilus and Cressida, which I used to illustrate the transition from friendship in the ancient version of the myth to a homoerotic relationship in the modern adaptation, since in Shakespeare we only find a hint of a homoerotic relationship between the two heroes.
