Abstract:
Obdobje po 2. svetovni vojni je obeleženo s splošno politizacijo kulturnega življenja, tudi gledališkega. Eksplicitne ideološke tendence so se kazale tako v organizaciji repertoarne politike kot v funkcioniranju tatrskega mehanizma nasploh. Zato so se tudi izvajala književna dela, ki so popolnoma zadovoljevala tiste napotke, ki jih je proklamirala socrealistična estetika. To je bila obče nacionalna situacija, ki je ni moglo zaobiti niti reško gledališče, v tem kontekstu pa se omenjajo tudi izvedbe slovenskih dramatikov, kot so Ivan Cankar, Bratko Kreft, Jože Zemljan, ki se po dominantnih režijskih karakteristikah popolnoma vklapljajo v korpus predstav primarno naturalistične stilske usmeritve. Svojevrstno odstopanje, tako v repertoarski organizaciji kot v nekih temeljnih inscenatorskih načelih, kaže predstava Cankarjeve farse Pohujšanje v dolini šentflorjanski v režiji Lea Tomašića (1956). Zato jo imamo za enega od primerov, ki so kazali na potrebo po ukinjanju enoličnih in monotonih režijskih konvencij, ki so dolgo let preprečevale razvoj in modernizacijo reškega institucionalnega igralstva.

Keywords:TITLE: The post-Second World War period was marked by the universal politicisation of cultural life, and consequently theatrical life. Explicit ideological tendencies were evident in the organisation of repertory policy, as well as in the functioning of the theatre mechanism. For this reason, the performed literary works complied in full with instructions proclaimed by socialist realist aesthetics. Of course, this was a nationwide situation that could not be avoided at the theatre in Rijeka. In this context, we can note the performances of Slovene playwrights, for example Ivan Cankar, Bratko Kreft and Jože Zemljan, whose dominant directorial characteristics fit completely into the corpus of primarily naturalistic plays. However, a certain departure in repertory organisation, as well as some basic staging principles, is evident in Cankar's farce Scandal in the Valley of St. Florian, directed by Leo Tomašić (1956). It is consequently considered to be an example of the need to go beyond the uniform and monotonous directorial conventions which for years prevented the growth and modernisation of the Rijeka institutional theatre scene. / KEYWORDS: Croatian National Theatre (HNK) Ivan pl.
