Slovenska esejistika je od začetkov naprej sledila književnemu dogajanju. Pisala je o posameznih literarnih opusih, književnonazorskih temah, estetskih in kriti{kih vprašanjih, literarni fenomenologiji, idejnih podlagah književnosti itn. Začetke sistematičnega ukvarjanja s slovstvom postavljam v prvo polovico 20. stoletja; kasneje so med pisci vsi pomembni slovenski esejisti.

Abstract

The Slovene essay has also followed the literary currents. It considered individual literary oeuvres, literary-ideological themes, aesthetic and critical questions, literary phenomenology, the ideational foundations of literature and so on. I set the beginning of the literary essay in the first half of the 20th century; the Slovene essayists include all the important writers.
