Abstract
Poleg tega so skoraj vsi ob negativnih vplivih perfekcionizma že doživeli strah in tesnobo.

Title:Experiencing perfectionism in emerging adulthood
Abstract:
In this master thesis, we have been researching how emerging adulthood experience perfectionism. In the theoretical part of the master thesis, we presented the fundamental characteristic of perfectionism, its dimensions and the appearance of perfectionism in most basic areas of life. Then follows the description of the characteristic of emerging adulthood, their developmental tasks and influence social media on perfectionism. With the help of semi-structured interviews we showed the results of how young people on emerging adulthood experience themselves in the stressful situations of modern times and possible failtures. The study included 6 participants, aged between 25 and 29 years, of which 1 were male and 5 female. The results indicated that maladaptive perfectionism among youth emerging adulthood is often present and is reflected in different areas of their lives. The fields of work and study stand out in particular. It was found that all participants had certain perfectionistic tendencies. All of them, except one, had already experienced fear and anxiety due to negative effects of perfectionism. The results can be helpful in all treatments of certain individuals who are primarily faced with the negative effects of perfectionism and their consequences. Above all, it can also be helpful for people who work with young people on the transition to adulthood and deal with planning further treatments.
