Abstract
Eno izmed vse bolj pomembnih področij v sodobni družbi je poznavanje in razumevanje digitalnih veščin. Odločili smo se združiti učenje digitalnih veščin z uporabo platforme Colibri Air in problematiko kvalitete zraka. Platformo Colibri Air sestavljata elektronska razvojna ploščica Colibri Air, ki vsebuje senzorje za spremljanje kvalitete zraka, in oblačna platforma ThingsBoard, ki omogoča vizualizacijo podatkov, pridobljenih s senzorjev. Osrednji raziskovalni problem diplomskega dela je zasnova in izvedba delavnic Colibri Air za mlade. S tem jim želimo spodbuditi k pridobivanju digitalnih veščin s pomočjo platforme za spremljanje kvalitete zraka. Prav tako se bomo osredotočili na umestitev platforme Colibri Air med že obstoječe podobne platforme, kot so na primer Micro:bit, Learnometer, Adafruit Circuit Playground in različne platforme z osnovo Arduino. Narediti želimo primerjavo med temi platformami in Colibri Air ter ugotoviti prednosti, slabosti in možnosti za nadgradnjo platforme Colibri Air. Izvedli smo več sklopov delavnic, kjer smo udeležencem predstavili platformo Colibri Air. Delavnice smo večkrat prilagodili in jim spremenili program glede na okoliščine in povratne informacije udeležencev. Poleg tega smo primerjali sposobnosti platforme Colibri Air z različnimi podobnimi platformami. Naša primerjava je pokazala, da platforma Colibri Air ponuja širok nabor možnosti za spremljanje kvalitete zraka, kar je pomembno za prilagajanje različnim potrebam in zahtevam. Ugotovili smo, da je platforma Colibri Air učinkovita pri poučevanju digitalnih veščin mladih, ki so sodelovali na delavnicah, primernejša pa je za učence višjih razredov osnovnih in srednjih šol. V letih 2021–2023 smo izvedli štiri sklope delavnic, skupaj 44 delavnic. V vseh letih skupaj smo imeli okoli 50 udeležencev, 10 udeležencev pa se je delavnic udeležilo že drugo leto zapored. Primerjava z drugimi platformami je pokazala, da ima platforma Colibri Air več prednosti, kot sta enostavnost uporabe in široka paleta meritev kvalitete zraka, ter da obstajajo tudi nekatere možnosti za nadgradnje.

Title:Colibri Air platform for teaching digital skills and air quality monitoring
Abstract:
One of the increasingly important areas in modern society is the knowledge and understanding of digital skills. We decided to combine learning digital skills using the Colibri Air platform and air quality issues. The Colibri Air platform consists of the Colibri Air electronic development board, which contains sensors for air quality monitoring, and the ThingsBoard cloud platform, which enables the visualization of data obtained from the sensors. The central research problem of the diploma thesis is the design and implementation of Colibri Air workshops for young people. With this, we want to encourage them to acquire digital skills with the help of an air quality monitoring platform. We also focus on positioning the Colibri Air platform among existing similar platforms such as Micro:bit, Learnometer, Adafruit Circuit Playground and various Arduino-based platforms. We want to make a comparison between these platforms and Colibri Air and find out the advantages, disadvantages and possibilities for upgrading the Colibri Air platform. We held several sets of workshops where we introduced the Colibri Air platform to the participants. We adapted the workshops several times and changed the program according to the circumstances and feedback from the participants. In addition, we compared the capabilities of the Colibri Air platform with various similar platforms. Our comparison showed that the Colibri Air platform offers a wide range of options for air quality monitoring, which is important to adapting to different needs and requirements. We found that the Colibri Air platform is effective in teaching digital skills to the young people who participated in our workshops, and is more suitable for students in upper grades of primary and secondary schools. In the years 2021 – 2023, we held four sets of workshops, a total of 44 workshops. In all years, we had around 50 participants, and 10 participants took part in the workshops for the second year in a row. A comparison with other platforms showed that Colibri Air platform has several advantages, such as ease of use and a wide range of air quality measurements, and that there are also some opportunities for upgrades.
