Skupinski avtoportreti so žanrski paradoks, s katerim sem se ukvarjala v diplomskem delu. Razčlenila sem ključne elemente portreta, ki se navezujejo na serijo Avtoportreti. Slednji so postali univerzalni portreti, ki izstopajo iz slike kot gledalčev odsev. Dvojnike razumemo kot tuje, umetne in nevarne, ki z neposrednimi pogledi poskrbijo za nelagodno vzdušje. Takšna atmosfera pahne posameznika na mejo cone udobja in prisiljen se je odzvati. Samoreprezentacija je nuja sodobnega človeka. Istoveti se s svojo kakor tudi z drugo podobo. Množenje le-te pa lahko privede do različnih občutij in pomenov.

Abstract

Group self-portraits are a genre paradox that I dealt with in my thesis. I have broken down the main portraiture elements relating to the Self-Portraits series. The latter have become universal portraits that stand out from the picture as a viewer's reflection. Doubles are perceived as alien, artificial, and dangerous, providing an uneasy atmosphere with their direct gaze. Such an atmosphere pushes the individual to the edge of his comfort zone, forcing him to react. Self-representation is a necessity of modern man. One identifies with its image as well as with the other. The multiplicity of it can lead to different feelings and meanings.
