Abstract
Tema moje raziskave je izkušnja medvrstniškega nasilja v osnovni in srednji šoli, ki sem ga raziskovala med osebami, starimi med osemnajst in petindvajset let, z dokončanim prvim in drugim letnikom srednje šole ter živijo v Republiki Sloveniji. Teoretični del sem v diplomskem delu razdelila na enajst pomembnejših sklopov: opredelitev medvrstniškega nasilja; vloge učencev v odnosu medvrstniškega nasilja; vrste medvrstniškega nasilja; dinamika medvrstniškega nasilja; dejavniki medvrstniškega nasilja; posledice medvrstniškega nasilja; prepoznavanje in preprečevanje medvrstniškega nasilja; preventiva na področju medvrstniškega nasilja v šolah; preprečevanje in spopadanje z medvrstniškim nasiljem; ukrepi in odzivanje v primerih pojava medvrstniškega nasilja in vloga svetovalne službe in medvrstniško nasilje. Empirični del je sestavljen in formulacije problema z zastavljenimi raziskovalnimi vprašanji in postavljenimi hipotezami, sledi opis metodologije, kjer je predstavljena vrsta raziskave (kombiniran kvantitativni in kvalitativni pristop), spremenljivke, merski instrument (anketni vprašalnik), populacija (osebe, ki so v času raziskovanja stare med osemnajst in petindvajset let, z dokončanim prvim in drugim letnikom srednje šole ter živijo v Republiki Sloveniji) in vzorec (neslučajnostni in priročni), način zbiranja podatkov (metoda anketiranja) ter obdelava in analiza podatkov. Sledijo rezultati, razprava, sklepi, kjer ugotovim, da se z medvrstniškim nasiljem sreča več oseb v osnovni šoli kot v srednji šoli; da je najpogostejša vrsta medvrstniškega nasilja psihično nasilje; da sta najpogostejša razloga za pojav medvrstniškega nasilja s strani udeleženih videz posameznika in ljubosumje; da sta najpogostejša razloga za medvrstniško nasilje s strani zaposlenih ignoriranje nasilja in neukrepanje ob pojavu nasilja; da so učenci ob pojavu medvrstniškega nasilja pogosto zgroženi, a glede tega ne storijo ničesar; da se ob pojavu medvrstniškega nasilja najpogosteje zaupajo prijateljem v šoli ter da se zaposleni na medvrstniško nasilje le redko odzovejo oziroma ga prepoznajo. Raziskavo zaključim s predlogi, ki jih zapišem na podlagi ugotovitev ter na podlagi predlogov za spremembe na področju obravnave in spopadanja z medvrstniškim nasiljem s strani anketirancev.

Title:The experience of peer violence in primary and secondary school
Abstract:
The topic of my research is the experience of peer violence in primary and secondary school, which I researched among persons between ages of eighteen and twentyfive, who have completed their first and second year of secondary school and live in the Republic of Slovenia. The theoretical part of my thesis is devided into eleven sections: definition of peer violence; the roles of students when it comes to peer violence; types of peer violence; dynamics of peer violence; factors of peer violence; consequences of peer violence; recognition and prevention of peer violence; prevention in the field of peer violence in schools; preventing and dealing with peer violence; measures and response in cases of occurrence of peer violence and the role of the advisory service and peer violence. Empirical part consists of problem formulations with research questions and hypotheses, followed by a description of the methodology, where I describe the type of research (combined quantitative and qualitative approach), variables, measuring instrument (survey questionnaire), population (persons who at the time of the research are presented between ages of eighteen and twenty-five, having completed the first and second year of secondary school and are living in the Republic of Slovenia) and sample (non-random and convenient), method of data collection (survey method) and data processing and analysis. Following are the results, discussion, and conclusions, where I find that more people encounter peer violence in primary school than in secondary school; that the most common type of peer violence is psychological violence; that the most common reasons for the occurrence of peer violence on the part of the participants are the appearance of the individual and jealousy; that the most common reasons for peer violence on the part of employees are ignoring violence and not taking action when violence occurs; that students are often horrified when peer violence occurs, but do nothing about it; that when peer violence occurs, they most often confide in their friends at school and that employees rarely react to or recognize peer violence. I conclude the research with suggestions that I write down based on the findings and on the basis of suggestions for changes in the field of dealing with peer violence on the part of the respondents.
