The SloveniaPass project enables visitors of Slovenia to travel around the country easily and affordably. The aim of the thesis was to create a user-friendly and comprehensible SloveniaPass website, which will be functional and will allow quick access to the offered services and additional information.
In the theoretical part, we explored the elements of websites, the development processes and current trends in website design. We explained website optimisation, content management systems, the basics of user experience and information architecture. In the experimental part, we used analytical methods to investigate the competition and the market we are entering. We compared the characteristics of 5 competing websites and carried out a survey with 30 potential users from Europe. Through this, we defined the target group and created two characteristic characters. Using Adobe Illustrator and Figma, we created an information architecture with 6 main modules, wireframes for the landing page and subpages, designed the logo and the overall graphic design of the website. The website was built in Wordpress with ElementorPro plugin under the domain sloveniapass.com. We carried out user experience testing with 7 users in the Optimal Workshop Tree Testing environment.
The results of the user experience testing showed that the information architecture and design of the website is sensible, easy to understand and use. This has fully fulfilled our purpose - we have built a carefully designed website with an effective user experience that will support the SloveniaPass project in the future.
