The thesis presents the impact of modern warehouse technology on the work and employees
in the warehouse. The meaning of warehouse, types of warehouse and storage processes such
as receiving goods, warehousing, commissioning and shipping are described and presented in the thesis. Then it is presented modern technology and equipment used in storage processes, robots, automatically guided vehicles, RFID technology, bar code, pick by voice technology and others. In the following are describe systems for warehouse control, such as WMS, IoT and AI- artificial intelligence, which is still under development. SWOT analysis is applied in
