Abstract
Igralna terapija je vrsta terapije, ki jo za to usposobljeni strokovnjaki najpogosteje uporabljajo pri delu z otroki in mladostniki, da bi jim pomagali pri premagovanju različnih stisk in težav ter spodbujali optimalen razvoj. Igralni terapevti pri svojem delu izhajajo iz različnih teoretičnih izhodišč in uporabljajo različne tehnike ter materiale. V nekaterih tujih državah je ta vrsta terapije dokaj razširjena, v pričujočem magistrskem delu pa me je zanimala prisotnost in aktualno stanje igralne terapije v Sloveniji. V kvalitativno usmerjeni raziskavi je sodelovalo pet igralnih terapevtk, ki v okviru svojih praks uporabljajo igralno terapijo na naših tleh. Z udeleženkami sem izvedla polstrukturirane intervjuje, v katerih so me zanimale njihove izkušnje z opravljanjem dela igralne terapevtke. Zbrane podatke sem analizirala s pomočjo kvalitativne tematske analize. Oblikovala sem 80 kategorij prvega reda, ki se združujejo v 12 nadrednih kategorij, te pa v štiri nadredne teme. Slednje predstavljajo skupne vzorce pomenov, kot sem jih prepoznala v izjavah udeleženk. Izkazalo se je, da so si udeležene igralne terapevtke v različnih vidikih dela precej podobne. Štiri od petih udeleženk izhajajo iz teoretičnega izhodišča na otroka usmerjene igralne terapije. Pri svojem delu se udeleženke srečujejo s podobno starimi klienti, ki izkazujejo različno simptomatiko. Prostori, v katerih izvajajo igralno terapijo, so večinoma skladni s smernicami iz literature. V magistrskem delu predstavljam tudi materiale in tehnike, ki jih udeleženke uporabljajo pri svojem delu. Te si delijo mnenje, da je v slovenskem prostoru igralna terapija premalo razširjena, pri čemer prepoznavajo tudi različne sistemske ovire. V zadnjem delu magistrske naloge sem oblikovala predloge za nadaljnji razvoj te vrste terapije pri nas.

Title:
Play therapy in Slovenia
Abstract:
Play therapy is usually applied by play therapists to treat different mental issues in children and adolescents and to help them strive towards healthy development. Play therapists follow the principles of different theoretical approaches and therefore use different techniques and materials. Play therapy is quite popular abroad, and therefore I was interested in different aspects of this type of therapy in Slovenia. The study was qualitative. I conducted semi-structured interviews with five play therapists from our country. I asked them about their experience working as play therapists. I analysed the data with qualitative thematic analysis. The result was 80 first-order categories that came together in 12 second-order categories, which I combined into four themes. The themes represent recurring patterns of meanings found in the participants' answers. Play therapists that participated in the study share similar experience regarding the different aspects of their work. Four of them follow the principles of child-centered play therapy, and they all meet clients of the same age. The clients experience different psychological and other issues. The play therapy rooms of the participants are mostly in line with the guidelines found in the literature. I also present the different techniques and materials participants use during play therapy sessions. All participants think play therapy is not well represented in Slovenia and explain why that might be the case. You can find suggestions for the future development of play therapy in Slovenia at the end of this paper.
