The Master’s thesis deals with the energy audit of a company with high degree of intensity in production of non-metallic mineral products. With aim of providing greater energy efficiency and the use of greater share of renewable energy sources, we analyzed the company’s current energy systems. Based on the data from the company’s control system, we implemented a review and an analysis of the consumptions of all energy sources. We focused on energy sources like natural gas, electric energy and extra light fuel oil, as together they represent a significant share of all energy costs. Measures which can bring the greatest energy and economic savings in practice are: the renewal of wooden biomass’s boiler for obtaining steam with simultaneous production of electricity, an improvement in energy efficiency of Zeolite production line and renovation of lighting. To evaluate selected measures, we created an economic model for each of them. Based on net present value and internal income rate, we assessed whether the investment is economically justified. The environmental aspect of potential energy measures is also shown.
