Abstract

Title:Development of a system for balancing axial electric motors on a flexible support
Abstract:
Mass imbalance of the body causes forces and vibrations in the supports, which strongly influence the operation and lifetime of the device. Due to the increased electrification of vehicles, there is an ever-increasing need for high-speed electric motors. Consequently, there is also a need to diagnose their dynamic behavior. Within the master's thesis, we designed a simple balancing device on a flexible support. We used accelerometers to measure the vibrations at each of the supports-bearing locations. With the measuring system, we captured the acceleration time spectrum. The signal was then processed with code in the programming language Python. Using the dynamic balancing method, we determined the unbalance on each measured plane.
