Abstract
Izboljšanja moči zgornjih okončin in gibljivosti izbranih gibov nismo mogli potrditi, saj smo ju preverjali z različnimi testi, katerih rezultati so se statistično značilno izključevali.

Title:Analysis of physical activity in adults in The health promotion centre Žalec
Abstract:
This Master's thesis deals with the effects of regular physical activity on physical mobility in adults, taking part in the workshop 'Gibam se' within the Health Promotion Centre Žalec in the Lower Savinja Valley region (hereinafter referred to as 'CKZ SSD'). There were 56 test participants of both genders taking part in the research aged between 18 and 65 years. The sample of test participants was represented by adults doing the workout in the CKZ SSD in Žalec. For the purpose of establishing the workout effects a Slovenian version of test battery for physical fitness assessment in adults aged between 18 and 65 years based on ALPHA-FIT and UKK test batteries was applied. It consists of three basic test items for the assessment of body composition and eleven test items for the assessment of physical fitness (Jakovljević et al., 2017). For testing the participants in both work-shops the manual 'Testiranje telesne pripravljeosti odraslih oseb' (Jakovljević et al., 2017) specifying all adult fitness testing procedures and the purpose thereof was applied. For carrying out a 14-day programme the Manual for the 'Gibam se' Workshop (Knific et al., 2017) was used. The first measurements were carried out at the beginning of the two workshops (2nd meeting). Prior to testing the participants were made familiar with the exercises and the testing procedure. They also did some warm-up exercises to be ready for the workout or testing respectively. After completing the first testing they started a 14-week programme for developing and maintaining their physical mobility, which they carried out once a week for 60 minutes. Upon completion of this programme the second testing procedure by means of the same test battery as it was in the first testing was carried out. Based on the results obtained four hypotheses were confirmed, showing that after completing the 14-week workout programme the workshop participants improved their torso strength, balance, lower extremities strength as well as aerobic endurance. However, the hypotheses presuming that the participants would also improve the upper extremities strength and the mobility of certain movements after completing the 14-week programme could not be confirmed, since they were verified by means of different tests showing statistically significant differences in the results. The data were processed by IBM SPSS Statistics 25 software. All hypotheses were tested on the basis of the level of significance p ≤ 0,05. Due to the results obtained it is considered that this research has once again additionally proved the already known, namely that everyday physical activity improves one's physical mobility and consequently one's quality of life and physical performance. Thus, the aim of this Master's thesis is to confirm the positive effects of physical workout on physical mobility in adults and to promote the importance of integrating physical activity into everyday life as well as into the health care system.
