In this thesis we compare different WiFi network systems. First, we present the history of WiFi and routers and describe in detail, network WiFi and Wi-Fi Alliance. We then examine the benefits of WiFi Mesh systems and their applications. In the following, we focus on three selected WiFi Mesh systems: the Plume SuperPod, the Amazon Eero and the Netgear Orbi. We describe Plume SuperPod in detail as it is the only open source system among them. We then perform various performance tests, including a 4-corner load test, a roaming test, a prioritisation test and others, and present the tools used. We comment on the best systems and present the possibilities of using them. Our survey provides useful information regarding the performance of WiFi Mesh systems and in the selection of a WiFi Mesh system according to the user needs.
