Major social crisis situations plunge humanity into a general state of fear, uncertainty and misunderstanding. Understanding its circumstances is one of the main needs of every human being; humans feel the need to understand the causes of what is happening around us – especially when these events are extremely negative or/and unexpected. In such situations people often look for an explanation of the events in such a way, that with the help of the information available to them at the moment, they set up a logic and believable story that offers the answer to the questions 'why' and 'how'. However, when in crisis social situations there is a lack of clear, logical, consistent and meaningful explanations, which should be provided by authorities in power, people begin to create and believe in conspiracy theories that give them the feeling that they finally understand the situation, understand the causes of its creation and that they know who it is that wants to hide the truth from them.
