Abstract
Magistrsko delo se ukvarja z raziskovanjem motivacije mladostnikov za sodelovanje v programu vzgojnega zavoda, in sicer iz dveh različnih zornih kotov: v nalogi je zajet vidik mladostnikov in vidik vzgojiteljev. V teoretičnem delu se najprej dotaknemo obdobja mladostništva na splošno, znotraj tega pa se osredotočimo na mladostnike s čustveno-vedenjskimi težavami, ki bivajo v vzgojnih zavodih. Nato nadaljujemo z raziskovanjem motivacije, na koncu pa se dotaknemo še vzgojnih zavodov, njihovega delovanja ter vloge vzgojiteljev. V empiričnem delu se najprej lotimo vprašanja, s kakšnimi predstavami pridejo mladostniki v vzgojni zavod, v nadaljevanju pa se osredotočimo na to, kako svojo motivacijo vidijo mladostniki in kaj po njihovem mnenju vpliva na to, ali so za določeno aktivnost motivirani ali ne. Ker so vzgojitelji tisti, ki z mladostniki preživijo največ časa in jih zato tudi zelo dobro poznajo, raziskava vključuje tudi njihov pogled na to temo. Raziskovanja smo se lotili s pomočjo osmih polstrukturiranih intervjujev, ki so bili opravljeni v treh različnih slovenskih vzgojnih zavodih. Trije intervjuji so bili izvedeni z vzgojiteljicami, pet pa z mladostniki. Analiza intervjujev je na koncu zapisana v obliki odgovorov na zastavljena raziskovalna vprašanja, ki se prepletajo s teoretičnimi spoznanji. Tekom raziskovanja smo odkrili kar nekaj vzporednic med tem, kako motivacijo ter vplive nanjo vidijo mladostniki in kako vzgojitelji. Raziskava je pokazala, da na motivacijo vpliva več različnih dejavnikov – interesi, želja po uspehu, strah pred kaznijo ali želja po nagradi in nenazadnje tudi mladostnikom pomembne osebe s svojo prisotnostjo in spodbudami. Magistrsko delo predstavlja manjši doprinos socialno pedagoški stroki, saj prikazuje razmišljanja vzgojiteljev in mladostnikov o motivaciji ter vplivih nanjo, iz česar lahko vzgojitelji dobijo kakšno koristno idejo za nadaljnje delo na področju motiviranja mladostnikov.

Title:Adolescent's Motivation to Participate in the Correctional Institution Programme from the Adolescent's and the Educator's Viewpoints
Abstract:
The master's thesis deals with the motivation of adolescents for participating in the programme of educational institution. The theme is presented from two different perspectives: the point of view of adolescents as well as the point of view of educators. The theoretical part outlines the period of adolescence in general, with the focus on adolescents with emotional and behavioural disorders that live in educational institutions. Then, we explore the motivation and educational institutions, particularly their way of working and the role of educators. The empirical part of the thesis starts with the question of what do the adolescents expect from educational institutions upon their arrival. After that we explore what adolescents think about their level of motivation and what factors influence their motivation to participate. Since educators in institutions spend a lot of time with the adolescents, we wanted to capture their point of view on this topic as well. Eight semi-structured interviews, done in three different Slovene educational institutions, are conducted in the analysis. Three interviews are done with educators and five with adolescents. The analysis of the interviews is written in the form of answers to the research questions and is intertwined with the information gathered in the theoretical part. According to our research there are a lot of parallels between the adolescents and educators’ views on the topic of motivation. Analysis indicates, that various factors affect motivation – interests, wish of success, fear of punishment or wish of reward and last but not least for adolescents important people with their presence and encouragement. Master’s thesis presents small contribution to social pedagogics field, as it shows adolescents and educators thinking on the topic of motivation and what factors influence adolescents motivation. Educators can draw some useful ideas for further work on field of motivating adolescents.
