In my Masters thesis I researched violence against women in time of coronavirus. In literature
I first focused on basic characteristics of coronavirus, then I described what is domestic
violence, what are the forms of domestic violence, why the victim of domestic violence wants
to stay at home, what kind of help is available to the victim and where they can retreat from the
violence. The main goal of my Masters thesis was to define whether women experienced
violence more frequently during the time of coronavirus, what consequences this had on their
health, where did they find help and and whether advertising of violence against women is
sufficient. The research population were victims of domestic violence (women) of different
programs in the year 2021/2022. I found out that the most women experienced psychological
violence, although other forms of violence didn't fall behind psychological violence. Most of
the time the reason for violent acts was a lack of income, which is understandable, according
to the amount of lost jobs of the population. 65% believe that the violence has increased in the
time of coronavirus. Women suffered many physical consequences as a result of the violence,
both physical and psychological.
