Abstract
Diplomska naloga je opis izdelave modernega križišča. Ta omogoča prilagajanje na spreminjajoče se prometne razmere in koordinacijo z ostalimi križišči v bližini. Glavni cilj naloge je bil spoznati se s postopkom izdelave modernega križišča, razumeti prometni program in pravila za njegovo izdelavo, spoznati delovanje semaforske naprave ter komunikacijo z nadzornim centrom. Naloga je sestavljena iz treh delov. V prvem delu naloge je opisana vsa dokumentacija, ki je potrebna za izdelavo križišča. Ta vključuje prometne programe, načrt priključitve semaforske opreme in načrte križišča. V tem delu so podrobno razložene razlike med prometnimi programi in zakaj jih potrebujemo. V drugem delu so opisani moduli, ki sestavljajo semaforsko omaro, in vse vrste detektorjev, ki jih uporablja za zaznavanje prometa. Poleg tega so opisane funkcije posameznih modulov in njihova naloga v semaforski omari. V zadnjem delu naloge pa je opisan postopek programiranja, krmilni program ter komunikacija z nadzornim centrom in prikazovanje napak. Razložene so vse funkcije, ki so uporabljene v krmilnem programu, prikazani in obrazloženi so vsi zavihki grafičnega vmesnika Semafor, na koncu pa je predstavljena vloga nadzornika in nadzornega centra.

Title:Smart intersections and traffic-flow control
Abstract:
The thesis is a description of the design of a modern intersection. This design allows real time adaptation of the traffic program to the changing traffic conditions and coordination with other intersections in the vicinity. The main objective of the assignment was to learn about the process of creating a modern junction, to understand the traffic programme and the standards for its creation, to learn about the operation of the traffic control cabinet and the communication with the control centre. The thesis has three parts. The first part of the assignment describes all the documentation needed for the construction of the junction. This includes traffic programmes, traffic light connection plans and junction plans. This part of the conclusions will explain in detail the differences between traffic programmes and why we need them. Part two describes the modules that make up a traffic light cabinet and the different types of detectors it uses to detect traffic. This section will describe the functions of the individual modules and their role in the traffic control cabinet. The last part of the thesis describes the programming procedure, the control program, the communication with the control centre and the error display. This section will explain all the functions used in the control program, show and explain all the tabs of the Semafor GUI and finally present the role of the supervisor and the control centre.
