Abstract
Diplomsko delo obravnava teme, ki zadevajo etikete žensk v 19. stoletju v Angliji in v današnjem slovenskem prostoru, ki je takrat spadal pod Habsburško monarhijo, dokler se ni ta leta 1867 spremenila v dvojno monarhijo Avstro-Ogrsko. Skozi zgodovino je bonton prisoten v vsakdanjiku posameznika, ki zajema določena pravila spodobnega vedenja v družbi. Bonton v 19.stoletju nam pokaže, kako so bile ženske dojete v družbi. Elementi in pravila bontona ter družbeno spolna vloga žensk v dolgem 19. stoletju med ženskami v Angliji in v današnjem slovenskem prostoru so se razlikovala, vendar so si bila v nekaterih pogledih podobna. Osnovna pravila spodobnega ženskega bontona so se razlikovala med različnimi družbenimi sloji. V diplomskem delu je predstavljen bonton višjega sloja, srednjega sloja in nižjega sloja. Pričakovani bonton žensk v Angliji in v današnjem slovenskem ozemlju v 19.stoletju se je razlikoval tudi glede na sfero udejstvovanja. Pojavljale so se razlike in podobnosti pri bontonu žensk glede na družinsko sfero ter sledile so sprejemljivemu bontonu v javni sferi. Bonton pa se je glede na različne sfere razlikoval ali celo prepletal.

Title:Women Etiquette in 19th Century
Abstract:
Dissertation discusses themes connected to women etiquette in 19th century England and today's Slovenia territory, which at that time was a part of Habsburg Monarchy, until year 1867 when a dual monarcy named Austro Hungarian was established. Throughout the history, etiquette is a part of individual everyday life, which includes a certain rules of behaviour that are followed in society. 19th century etiquette displays how womens' were percieved in society. Elements and rules of etiquette and social gender roles of women in long 19th century between women who lived in England and today's Slovenia territory differentiated. However in some aspects were similar. Set of basic appropriate manners diversed within different social classes. Dissertation presents etiquette of high class, middle class and lower social class. Expected etiquette from women in England and today's Slovenia territory in 19th century differentiated according to the sphere of activity. There were differences and similarities in the etiquette of women according to the family sphere, and they followed the acceptable etiquette in the public sphere. Etiquette differentiated or interwined based on different spheres.
