Abstract
V magistrskem delu so v teoretičnem delu predstavljeni jedrski reaktor s staljeno soljo, shranjevanje termične energije in trg z električno energijo. V nadaljevanju je obravnavana osnovna ekonomika sistema za shranjevanje termične energije s staljeno soljo v kombinaciji z jedrskim reaktorjem s staljeno soljo. Z namenom analize vpliva mešanice proizvodnih virov električne energije na ceno električne energije na trgu za dan vnaprej so izračuni narejeni za primere Slovenije, Danske, Norveške, Španije in Nemčije. Izračunana neto sedanja vrednost sistema shranjevanja termične energije za razmere na trgu, kot so bile v letu 2019, je bila za vse primere razen Slovenije po tridesetletnem obratovanju negativna. Za primer Norveške je bila izračunana neto sedanja vrednost negativna tudi za razmere, kot so bile v letih 2021–2022, za vse ostale države pa je bila neto sedanja vrednost pozitivna po štirih do šestnajstih letih obratovanja.

Title:Thermal energy storage combined with a nuclear reactor
Abstract:
Theoretical part of this masters thesis presents the molten salt reactor, storage of thermal energy and electricity market. The rest of the thesis discusses basic economic systems for storing thermal energy with molten salt in combination with a molten salt reactor. Sample calculations for Slovenia, Denmark, Norway, Spain and Germany are performed with the purpose of analyzing the effect of energy mix on the market’s electric energy prize for the next day. The calculated net present value of thermal energy storage systems for the 2019 market value was negative for 30 years of operation for all examples, except Slovenia. For Norway, the calculated net present value was negative also for the conditions as in years 2021/2022, but for all other countries the net present value was positive after four to sixteen years of operation.
