Abstract
Pomembnost kontejnerskih terminalov po celem svetu iz dneva v dan narašča; vedno več tovora namreč prevažamo s kontejnerji, zato so operaterji kontejnerskih terminalov prisiljeni v iskanje možnosti povečevanja zmogljivosti ob sočasni zmožnosti sprejemanja vedno večjih kontejnerskih ladij. Rešitev nemalokrat najdejo v podaljšanju operativne obale ter tehnoloških prilagoditvah dela ob tem. V pričujoči diplomski nalogi smo najprej prikazali, kako delujejo pristaniški kontejnerski terminali in jih opredelili kot posamezen sistem, ki smo ga nato razdelili na tri podsisteme ter analizirali njihov vpliv na delovanje terminala. V nadaljevanju smo se podrobneje osredotočili na podsistem operativne obale; predstavili smo različne možnosti postavitev operativne obale, priveznih mest in kontejnerskih blokov ter ostale prilagoditve za povečanje zmogljivosti kontejnerskih terminalov. Analizirali smo lastnosti suprastrukture na operativni obali in vpliv podsistema operativne obale na podsistem skladiščenja in podsistem primopredajnega območja za kopenska transportna sredstva. V zadnjem poglavju smo predstavili primer kontejnerskega terminala v Luki Koper, ki je pred kratkim izvedla podaljšanje operativne obale. Po opisu terminala smo predstavili projekt podaljšanja operativne obale; predstavili smo, kakšne prilagoditve dela so in še bodo izvedli na terminalu in kakšni so njihovi plani za prihodnost.

Title:TECHNOLOGICAL WORK ADJUSTMENTS AT THE CONTAINER TERMINAL UPON EXTENSION OF THE QUAYSIDE
Abstract:
The importance of container terminals around the world is growing day by day because more and more cargo is transported in containers. Container terminal operators are forced to look for opportunities to increase capacity while simultaneously being able to receive ever-larger container ships. The solution is often found in the extension of the quayside and technological work adjustments at the same time. In this bachelor’s thesis, we first showed how the port container terminals work. We defined them as a single system which we then divided into three subsystems and analyzed their impact on terminal operations. In the following part, we focused in more detail on the quayside subsystem where we presented different quayside, berths, and storage block layouts, as well as other adjustments to increase the capacity of container terminals. We analyzed the properties of the superstructure on the operational coast and the impact of the quayside subsystem on the storage subsystem and the transfer area subsystem for land transport assets. In the last chapter, we presented the example of the container terminal in the Port of Koper, which recently extended its quayside. After the description of the terminal, we presented the project of the extension of the quayside. Furthermore, we presented what work adjustments have been and will be implemented at the terminal and what are their plans for the future.
