The thesis deals with the implementation of a circular
economy in the area of industrial waste form the viewpoint of
the waste holder.
Problems such as the catastrophes of irresponsible storage,
unsustainable and expensive waste disposal, and the nonrecognition
of the value in waste to be recovered are solved
by designing a platform for establishing a circular economy.
The purpose is to achieve the circulation of material by
making the waste of one unit the input of another as soon
as possible. The central information platform connects the
holders, transporters and processors or purchasers of waste
and enables them to optimize circular waste management in
terms of time, fi nancial, location and ecology.
Symbazaar is an app that works as an ecological educator,
waste policy guide, electronic waste marketplace and
a transport-logistics optimizing tool with wholesome
understanding of resource effi ciency and an integrated reward
system of digital certifi cates that allow tracking and stimulate
new markets and local business community bonds.
