Abstract
V zaključnem delu sem predstavil potek karakterizacije teleskopskega detektorskega sistema podjetja Mirion Technologies. Sistem vsebuje silicijev in germanijev detektor. Kalibracija je potekala preko dveh znanih radioaktivnih virov - 241Am in 207Bi. Poleg omenjenih virov sem pri kalibraciji uporabil še meritev ozadja, kjer sem gledal prehod 212Po z razpadom alfa v 208Pb za niz 232Th. Preko iskanja koincidenc sem lahko izrisal še spekter hkratnih dogodkov obeh detektorjev za vir 207Bi. V tem spektru sem lahko identificiral elektrone. Z omenjeno kalibracijo za posamezen detektor sem lahko pokazal preko širine vrhov, kako se nam izboljšajo rezultati, če kalibriramo najprej posamezen detektor in ju potem seštejemo, kakor če seštevamo nekalibrirane kanale in potem kalibriramo spekter glede na dobljene vrhove. Poleg spektra vsote sem izrisal še matriko koincidenc in izračunal izkoristke za posamezne nabite delce in fotone za vsak detektor. Iskanje koincidenc je potekalo preko predhodno napisanega programa v jeziku C++. Nadaljnjo analizo in kalibracijo meritev, izrise spektrov in matrike, prilagajanje funkcij in računanje ploščin pa sem zapisal v programskem jeziku Python.

Title:Characterization of electron detector
Abstract:
In my work I present the characterization of the telescope detector system from Mirion Technologies. The system consists of a silicon and a germanium detector. Calibration was done with two known radioactive sources - 241Am in 207Bi. In addition to mentioned sources, I also used the measurement of background, for the transition of 212Po with alpha decay to 208Pb for the 232Th series. The spectrum of simultaneous events of both detectors for the 207Bi source was obtained through coincidence search. In this spectrum I could identify electrons. The calibration enabled me to show how precalibrated detectors influence the peak width, when we add up results from both detectors together. Besides the spectrum of simultaneous events, I also created a matrix of found coincidences and calculated the efficiency of detectors for charged particles and photons. The coincidence search was done through a program written in C++ programming language. The analysis of data, calibration of detectors, spectrum and matrix creation, fit of functions and calculation of area under fitted functions I wrote in Python programming language.
