Abstract

Title:Printed electroluminescent screen as interior decor
Abstract:
The purpose of the diploma thesis was to print a design that would include an electroluminescent screen on one part. Two printing techniques would be used, UV printing for most of the design and screen printing for the part where the electroluminescent screen will be used. In the theoretical part, we wrote about printed electronics and electroluminescent screens, their history, what it is, where is it used and how it works. In the theoretical part, we presented used printing technologies, such as UV and screen printing. Each technology was briefly described; in UV printing, we explained the UV curing process and the whole printing process in screen printing. This was followed by a study of the use and widespread of decorative printing in the interior and what it offers in today's market. In the experimental part, we presented the materials, chemicals and used machines and described the process of printing a design with an electroluminescent screen on the selected material. We have described the entire process of making the design with an emphasis on the part that includes the electroluminescent screen, from printing preparations to the production of a printing form for screen printing and the entire printing process. For the successful performance, we had to choose the appropriate sieve, and the prints on the printing material were additionally evaluated. We analysed both the print quality and the performance quality of the electroluminescent screen. Finally, we summarized all the results and mentioned the possible problems and solutions. The result of the diploma thesis is a printed design intended for use as interior decor, with additionally printed electroluminescent screens that upgrade the final look and enrich the use of decor.
