The diploma thesis covers the basics of grinding, grinding processes and the construction of machines. The issue of managing production without a technological data base is discussed. The problem is the grinding process defining, as it is difficult to predict the process parameters and the quality of the processed product. In this way, the creation of offers is also risky. In order to start creating the database, the parameters of through-feed centerless grinding are described and determined. In the experimental part, the effects of various parameters and factors on the workpiece roughness and roundness are tested. Tests of different grinding wheels, dressing speeds, dressing depths, specific removal rates and grinding area geometry were performed. The influence of various factors on product quality is also monitored. The results are shown graphically. The effects of the discussed parameters is established. The discussed factors have no effect. It is essential that the first research of this kind has been carried out, which provides a basis for further work and enables some simplifications for future research.
