In the process of installing tools on die casting machines, the occupancy of certain machines can lead to incompatibility of tools with machines that are free at that moment. For this purpose, an adapter plate is used, which allows the tools to be mounted on machines for which they were not designed. The thesis begins with a general description of casting and modern die casting machines. The main part of the thesis will show the process of modeling the plates in a software called Creo Parametric. After fabrication, a mechanical analysis is performed in Abaqus, and the results are then analyzed. Based on findings the most optimal system parameters are determined. The process of internal standardization of adapter plates is also examined.
