This Master's thesis represents the development of universal prototype electronics for testing and development of small household appliances. Based on the current range of small household appliances produced by BSH Hišni aparati d.o.o. Nazarje, as well as new devices that are still in the development phase, we have determined the requirements for the development of new prototype electronics. Based on the requirements, we designed the power supply part of the electronics, two separate motor controllers, which enable controlling motors with DC or AC voltage, and measuring circuits for measuring the effective currents of the motors. We added a user display to the electronics, which allows the operator to operate the device. We have also integrated the possibility of controlling the electronics via the USB bus. In the following, we created the software of the microcontroller, the user display and the user interface on the computer. Finally, we tested the functionality of the prototype electronics and fixed the initial problems on the printed circuit board and in the software. We also carried out preliminary comparative measurements between DC and AC control of the universal motor and compared the current measurement of the prototype electronics and the current measurement with professional equipment.
