3D modeliranje kamenih orodij in prednosti ter pomanjkljivosti napram 2D risanju

Delo raziskuje 3D modeliranje kamenih orodij s pomočjo fotogrametrije in laserskega skeniranja z namenom, da se razširi izdelovanje 3D modelov za morebitno kasnejšo izdelavo replik. Osredotočam se predvsem na prednosti in še kar prisotne pomanjkljivosti, kljub temu da se je ta tehnologija v zadnjih letih izjemno razvila (3D modeliranje napram 2D risanju). Menim, da je interpretacija in vizualizacija boljša na 3D modelih kot na preprosti risbi oz. 2D fotografiji. V delu bo predstavljenih 10 različnih orodij in primeri njihovih risb, ter 3D modelov, kar bom na koncu tudi primerjal.

• Title: 3D modeling of stone tools and advantages and disadvantages compared to 2D drawing

Abstract

The work explores 3D modelling of stone tools using photogrammetry and laser scanning, with the aim of extending the production of 3D models for the eventual production of replicas at a later stage. I am focusing mainly on the advantages and the still present disadvantages, despite the fact that this technology has developed tremendously in recent years, between 3D modelling and 2D drawing. I believe that interpretation and visualisation of a 3D model is far superior than that of a simple drawing or a 2D picture. The work will present 10 different artefacts and examples of their drawings and 3D models and compared at the end.
