Arheoastronomija kot razlaga paleolitske umetnosti

Diplomsko delo obravnava drobno in stensko paleolitsko umetnost, ki po mnenju različnih raziskovalcev prikazuje astronomska telesa in pojave. Umetnost je v diplomskem delu razdeljena na poglavja, ki se nanašajo na določeno nebesno telo in na ženske menstrualne cikle, ki sledijo ritmu lune. Ob interpretacijah astronomskih pomenov predmetov so navedene tudi etnografske primerjave iz mlajših obdobij z različnih koncev sveta, ki so ključne za razumevanje tematike. Poleg interpretacij so opisani še problemi, s katerimi se sooča področje arheoastronomije. Na koncu so na kratko razloženi izrazi, ki so omenjeni v besedilu.

• Title: Archaeoastronomy as one of the interpretations of palaeolithic art

Abstract

In this thesis, the author writes about fine art and cave paintings from palaeolithic era which, acording to different researchers, show certain astronomical attributes. The artefacts are divided in chapters according to specific astronomical phenomena and also women's menstrual cycle, which follows the moon's rythm. Ethnographic comparisons from more recent eras and from different parts of the world are listed besides the interpretations of astronomical phenomena and are crucial for their understanding. In addition to the interpretations, the problems of the archaeoastronomical field are also described.
