Abstract
Diplomsko delo je nastalo v sklopu mednarodne raziskave »COVID-19: Ocena ranljivosti in vključevanje skupnosti«, ki jo vodi mednarodni konzorcij SoNAR-Global (Global Social Sciences Network for Infectious Threats and Antimicrobial Resistance). Ugotovitve so prikazane skozi strokovna besedila s področja medicinske antropologije in izsledke intervjujev.

Title:Attitudes towards Vaccination in the Event of a COVID-19 Pandemic
Abstract:
The diploma thesis was created as a part of the international study “COVID-19: Vulnerability Assessments and Community Involvement” led by the SoNAR-Global (Global Social Sciences Network for Infectious Threats and Antimicrobial Resistance) consortium. The research was conducted among individuals from two areas, i.e., Ljubljana and Murska Sobota and its surroundings. The author wants to present some of the uncertainties and situations that these individuals encountered when introducing vaccines against COVID-19. The thesis begins with a presentation of the work methodology and the context of the research. This is followed by a chapter devoted to immunology as a cultural paradigm. Furthermore, a chapter is dedicated to the expressions of fear and uncertainty that accompanied the COVID-19 pandemic. The attitudes towards vaccination are shown through three key categories: confidence, convenience and complacency. The findings are presented through professional texts from the field of medical anthropology and the results of interviews.

Keywords:COVID-19 pandemic, vaccination, attitudes towards vaccination, measures, mistrust
