Abstract
Uspešnost javnega portala in dobro uporabniško izkušnjo smo potrdili z uporabniškimi testiranji z raznolikimi skupinami uporabnikov.

Title:Public portal for community participation in sustainable energy use
Abstract:
To reduce our negative impact on the environment, smaller distributed energy resources are gaining importance in the field of energy supply. Energy communities are increasingly mentioned as a solution for better utilization of these new technologies. As with all new technologies, there are many concerns among people. Providing the relevant information is thus crucial for a green transition. In this work, we propose the use of public displays that provide information that adapts to the heterogeneous data collected within the framework of the Internet of Things. Displays in public places offer an opportunity for reasoning and conversations that are not possible on personal devices and in private environments. We iteratively developed a prototype that has two modes. The first is ambient and provides a quick insight into the current state of the energy community and suggestions for changing behaviour. The second mode is educational and offers a simple explanation, which promotes energy literacy. We confirmed the usefulness and a good user experience of the public portal through user testing with diverse groups of users.
